Apple shares a notch problem solution on the new MacBook Pro

The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro have been widely welcomed by Apple enthusiasts after its launch. Laptops come with Apple’s most powerful chipset to date, and promise significant improvements over previous versions, such as the smaller LED display.

Coincidentally, all of these benefits are accompanied by one small effect – a note placed at the top of the display.

Note that the note itself is not an error. In fact, it is Apple’s bold move that will force other OEMs to reconsider the design strategies of their products.

But like any other initial effort, it has its challenges. Users of the new MacBook Pro have gone to social media to share their problems with other notebook apps.

Several videos posted online show that app menu options in some apps are hidden behind a notch in some cases. In some cases, the notch location becomes inaccessible with the cursor, making any application menu hidden behind it completely useless. These problems, therefore, do not allow people to continue their normal work.

After all, it’s a stupid problem to have and many have pointed out that Apple should have taken care of this before shipping the new MacBook Pros. Well, now the company seems to have shared a solution to this issue.

The tech giant shared a new support document that talks about the feature “Scale to fit below the built-in camera”. The feature allows users to decide whether the app will use the full display while running, or cut a section near the clock, successfully converting the entire line as a bezel.

As the feature allows users to customize the working area of their MacBook Pro display, it serves as a solution to glitch other apps encountering in the notch area.

The feature is turned off automatically because most apps have to work properly with notch. For problem-solving applications, users can change the feature from the Get Info segment.

To enable rating mode to fit, MacBook Pro users can right-click on the Finder app and select ‘Find Information’ (or press Command-I).

In the info panel that appears, users can click the check box labeled ‘Measure to fit below the built-in camera.’ When finished, the app should run with the shortcut display next time it is opened, which means the entire camera line. note will be deleted and only the display below will use the application.

The system will revert back to using the full notch display once the modified app is closed. The solution looks very good worldwide and can help to use all the apps easily on MacBook Pro.

As more user information is shared, we will know for sure whether Apple has been able to eliminate the notch problem completely or not.
