Two developer previews will come by March
Google says that Google will release two developer previews by March for developers to try new features and test their apps. In early March, four beta builds will be released. Android 14 is expected to reach the platform stability phase in June. Once the beta program is over, Google may release Android 14 for eligible Pixel smartphones in August.
Android 14 will be available in these Pixel smartphones
Google Pixel smartphones will be the first devices to get the Android14 update. Pixel smartphones eligible for the update include Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
Android 14 will work more on tablets and foldables
Google says that Android 14 builds on previous work on Android 13 and Android12L, which means it could have better support for tablets and foldables. Not only this, with Android14, Google is preventing the installation of old apps made for previous Android iterations, thereby curbing the issue of malicious apps.
The fonts can be enlarged up to 200 percent, so those who like their fonts bigger or are facing vision issues can see better on their smartphone.
Users will be able to clone apps
Android14 will let users clone apps, a similar feature we’ve seen on custom ROMs before. With this feature, users can clone one app and use two different accounts
