New Delhi, Tech Desk. Google has released the first developer preview of Android 14, with the next version coming to smartphones later this year. However, Google has not given any information about what is the new update and how accurate Android 14 will be for us. Please tell that this is preview mode right now so we can see the changes in the update version.

Named Upside Down Cake

As we have mentioned that the new update has been named Android 14 in the entire market. At the same time, Google has named it ‘Upside Down Cake’. Explain that upside down cake is baked upside down. Which means you will get something very different. Let’s know about it.

Two developer previews will come by March

Google says that Google will release two developer previews by March for developers to try new features and test their apps. In early March, four beta builds will be released. Android 14 is expected to reach the platform stability phase in June. Once the beta program is over, Google may release Android 14 for eligible Pixel smartphones in August.

Android 14 will be available in these Pixel smartphones

Google Pixel smartphones will be the first devices to get the Android14 update. Pixel smartphones eligible for the update include Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

Android 14 will work more on tablets and foldables

Google says that Android 14 builds on previous work on Android 13 and Android12L, which means it could have better support for tablets and foldables. Not only this, with Android14, Google is preventing the installation of old apps made for previous Android iterations, thereby curbing the issue of malicious apps.

The fonts can be enlarged up to 200 percent, so those who like their fonts bigger or are facing vision issues can see better on their smartphone.

Users will be able to clone apps

Android14 will let users clone apps, a similar feature we’ve seen on custom ROMs before. With this feature, users can clone one app and use two different accounts
