Amazon is holding its annual product launch tomorrow, and we now have more ideas to look forward to. We were able to see a sound bar powered by Alexa, a wall-mounted Echo and a second-generation Echo Auto car, according to Bloomberg.
It reports that the Amazon audio bar will have a front-facing camera for making video calls using a TV. It’s called ‘Harmony’ by name, but we don’t know any other features or if it will support immersed audio formats like Dolby Atmos.
Its walled Echo – which was previously rumored – will reportedly have a 15-inch screen, and will include a table.
Designed to be your smart home hub, used to control electrical appliances, lights, locks, and any other connected tech.
Like Amazon Show devices, it can show you the weather, timers, calendar appointments and photos, and warn you when your Amazon delivery is due.
Apparently it is called ‘Hoya’, and is designed for placement in the kitchen. As well as showcasing recipes you will use third-party video streaming apps like Netflix.
The second-generation Echo Auto is reportedly named ‘Marion’. It will work just as well as the original, but with a new design and the ability to charge your device using incoming technology.
This follows an agreement with Ford that will see Alexa built at 700,000 c this year.
The audio bar is not expected to start appearing in the company tomorrow, even though the other two devices are aware of it.
According to Bloomberg, the major Echo, Echo Show and Echo Dot devices will not be updated until next year. It also says Amazon is looking at a lot of wear pressure over its latest Halo fitness tracker.
Amazon has recently entered the TV space, launching its own range of smart TV-ready smartphones.
