Apple Music’s free trial period has been reduced to one month

Apple Music’s three-month free trial for new users has been a gift for years now. However, a Cupertino-based company has recently reduced that month’s decline to other countries, including the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and the U.K. among others.

Spotify also offers a one-month free trial of its premium category. However, in the U.S. and in some countries, Spotify uses limited two-month trial campaigns, and paying Premium via PayPal can get you up to three months for free.

The main reason for this change in policy is mainly because Apple Music is now the second most widely used music streaming service.

They already have a lot of customers who can convince many people to join. So there is no need for three months in boarding.

In addition, with the current problems plaguing Spotify, Apple Music is expected to become the first player in the music streaming industry.

This means they will have a huge influx of new users. And if many of them use the service for free for many months, they will be paying the artists while not making any money.

The change does not affect the free trial period of six months that Apple offers for purchasing limited time products, for example, Beats, AirPods, and HomePod mini.

However, Apple Music prices remain unaffected. For those who don’t know, it costs Rs 99 a month for individual users, Rs 149 a month for family subscriptions, Rs 49 a month for students, and Rs 49 a month for Apple Music Voice, which was available recently launched with iOS 15.2 and allows people to view music with the help of Siri.

Apple has not yet said what will happen to the current owners of the three-month trial, although under normal circumstances, those who apply for the program before the change should remain unaffected.

Earlier, in May 2014, Apple Music had acquired Beats Audio for $ 3 billion.

Spotify’s market share has dropped from 34% in 2019 to 33% in 2020 and 31% in the previous year.

Apple Music owns 15% of the global market share followed by Amazon’s 13%. Without the current trend, for Apple to capture and surpass Spotify will have to take a long, patient approach to the music streaming business.
