Tecno will launch its first 5G smartphone called the Tecno Pova 5G in India on February 8. This is the first 5G company smartphone to be launched in India.
In the company’s official Twitter account, they have announced that the Tecno Pova 5G will launch on February 8. There is no time for a tweet launch event.
Tecno Pova 5G was launched in Nigeria at a price of NGN 129,000 (approximately. Approximately Rs. 23,000) which is the only 8GB of RAM and 128GB of separate storage.
The CEO of Transsion India, the parent company of Tecno India, announced the price of the Tecno Pova 5G in late 2021.
According to the official, the smartphone will cost around 18,000-20,000 in the country.
Nigeria’s Tecno Pova’s 5G comes with a 6.95-inch HD + display with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and a resolution of 120Hz.
Powered by octa-core MediaTek Dimension 900 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 built-in storage.
In addition, Tecno jokes that the Pova 5G will enter the Indian market using Memory Fusion technology designed to increase its RAM capacity to 11GB.
It is unclear whether Tecno will offer more memory options in India or stick to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration.
The Tecno Pova 5G smartphone is equipped with a three-dimensional rear camera setting that holds a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel second sensor, and an AI lens.
The Tecno Pova 5G includes a 16 megapixel selfie camera sensor with dual LED flash.
The smartphone is supported by a 6,000 mAh battery unit supported by 18W fast charging.
The device will be compatible with Android 11-based HiOS 8.0 and the fingerprint sensor will be embedded with the power button on the side.
The smartphone will be available in Polar Silver, Dazzle black, and Power Blue colors.
