IPL 2022 Retention and all the updates you should know :-

IPL INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE IS GOING TO BE HUGE THIS YEAR DUE TO SO MANY REASONS AND ONE OF THEM ALL IS THE BIG AUCTION THIS YEAR.

Even as the deadline of the retention is approaching no any team has have officially declared their retentions. BCCI authorities have also been appried by this and said that they will have an eye over it.

Key Highlights :-

1.) IPL franchises have to finalise the list of retained and released players by November 30.

2.) A maximum of 4 players can be retained by each of the 8 franchises.

3.)The two new franchises can sign up to 3 players each from the list of released players before the auction begins.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to get bigger with the introduction of two new franchises from the 2022 season onwards. The arrival of the new teams will also see the T20 league undergoing a mega auction where even the most settled squads will be forced to undergo a rebuild and make their team in a new way.

However, the franchises won’t have to build their squads from scratch, with a maximum of 4 retentions being allowed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). With the retention deadline only a few days away, here’s everything you need to know about IPL 2022 retentions:

The BCCI has set November 30 as the deadline by which the franchises have to release the list of players they have retained and those they wish to send back in the auction pool.

A maximum of 4 players can be retained by each franchise. Of these, a maximum of two can be overseas cricketers.

From the players that the other eight franchises released, the two new franchises will be able to pick three players each without going into the auction pool. The three players picked will not be available for bids by other franchises

The prices of the players will be decided on the basis of the number of players their franchises decide to retain.

1.)4 players: INR 42 crores (16cr, 12cr, 8cr and 6cr)

2.)3 players: 33 crores (15cr, 11cr and 7cr)

3.)2 players  22 crores (14cr and 10cr)

4.) 1 players 14 crores (14cr for if capped and 4cr if uncapped).

PLAYERS HIGHLY LIKELY TO BE RETAINED ARE

1.)CHENNAI SUPER KINGS :- Ms dhoni , Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra jadeja , and anyone between sam curran or moeen ali.

2.)MUMBAI INDIANS :- Rohit sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishan kishan and highly likely kieron pollard.

3.) KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS :- Venketash iyer , subhman gill, Varun chakravarty, and may be one between russel and narine.

4.) DELHI CAPITALS:- Rishabh pant , prithvi shaw, axar patel and nortje.

5.) Royal Challengers Bangalore:- Virat kohli , Devdat paddikal, maxwell.

6.) Rajasthan Royals :- Jofra archer , Jos buttler.

7.) Sunrises Hyderabad:- Kane williamson , rashid khan .

8.)Punjab kings :- Rahul( if he stays) , Mayank agarwal, Ravi bishnoi.

All the teams will officially declared their retention before 30 novem er and the mega auction may be held in December or January.
