COVID-19 Update: India has registered 34,763 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate stands at 97.51%.

COVID-19 Update: India reported 42,909 new cases of Covid 19 and 34,763 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,19 23,405 and the number of active cases to 3,76 324.

India has recorded 380 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 4,38,210, according to the Union Health Ministry.

The country vaccinated 63.43 crore people.

Active cases represent 1.15% of total cases. The country’s recovery rate is currently 97.51%

Kerala

Kerala has detected 29,836 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, after reporting more than 30,000 infections for four consecutive days, according to data from the state’s health department. This brought the cumulative workload to 40,07,408.

On top of that, another 75 people have succumbed to the virus, bringing the death toll from Covid in Kerala to 20,541.

Up to 22,088 people have been cured of the infection since Saturday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 37 73,754 and the number of active cases to 2,566.

The positivity rate of the test is 19.67% since 151670 samples were tested in 24 hours. So far 3,1275,313 crore samples have been tested.

Maharashtra

The surge in coronavirus cases in Maharashtra continued on Sunday, with the state reporting 4,666 new cases against 3,301 discharged patients. The number of active cases rose to 52,844.

No less than 131 deaths brought the cumulative number of deaths in the state to 1,37,157. The case fatality rate rose to 2.12%.

The total number of cases reached 64,569,939 while its cumulative recoveries rose to 62,63,416 with a recovery rate of 97%.
