Snapdragon Insiders phone hits iPhone 12 Pro Max, Oppo Get X3 Pro in DxOMark camera test

Qualcomm came out with a smartphone dedicated to its top chipsets in July this year Called the Snapdragon Insiders Smartphone, the premium device is made by Asus and comes with the advanced features that Qualcomm has to offer. Smartphone cameras are now being tested in a review.

The Snapdragon smartphone made a DxOMark update to its camera setup this week. The popular test gave this device a total of 133 points.

With this, the Snapdragon phone got higher scores than most high-end smartphone cameras like the Oppo Find X3 Pro, Vivo X50 Pro + and even the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The points are similar to those of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, even if the Snapdragon smartphone uses a “combination of less attractive camera modules,” as per the publication.

This camera module has a set of three lenses, with a standard 64 MP wide lens, a 12 MP wide lens and an 8 MP 3X zoom lens module. The core and tele-lens are also fitted with stability.

For videos, the Snapdragon phone can shoot up to 8K UHD (7680 x 4320) at 30 FPS and 4K at 60 or 30 FPS. There is also a 4K AutoFPS feature that converts the frame rate to power between 60 and 30 FPS, as per content. All video modes come with stability.

DxOMark scores

DxOMark has acquired the Asus Smartphone Snapdragon Insider in three metrics. This includes its ability to click pictures, zoom in with the camera and record videos.

In the pictures, the cameras on the Snapdragon smartphone scored 142 points.

Its main power is listed as “autofocus, noise reduction and preview.” The latter is able to provide a preview image to the display before the final image appears.

Other camera features that help photographers include “precise targeting exposure, strong range, bright colors, no visible noise, and good detail retention in almost all lighting conditions.”

In terms of its zoom in strength, the Snapdragon device scored 74 “strong points”. DxOMark says the tele-zoom on camera stores beautiful details in the image.

The preservation of quality is due to the super-resolution adjustment and HDR algorithm.

As for the wide ultra-wide camera, the viewing field is a bit limited but the visibility and dynamic range on the device is good.

The Snapdragon Insiders Smartphone also got 111 Video points. DxOMark claims that 4K AutoFPS recording achieves “the perfect balance between stability, exposure, texture, and sound.”

Personal choice of frame rate at 60 fps can lead to smooth video but adversely affect overall performance in medium light conditions.
