OnePlus recently unveiled its latest flagship, the OnePlus 10 series, which includes two new smartphones, the OnePlus 10 and the OnePlus 10 Pro.
Now news reports suggest that the company is working on the same Lite version, which is expected to be called the OnePlus 10R.
The OnePlus 10R is expected to be powered by the new Mediatek flagship Dimension 9000 SoC. The specification and testing of the first benchmark shows that the Dimensity 9000 can be as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which enables the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The OnePlus 10R could be the cheapest kind of company OnePlus 10 Pro might be waiting for.
The OnePlus 10R, according to reports, will be a successor to the OnePlus 9RT and will be released in the second half of 2022.
The forecast for the launch of the OnePlus 10R in the second half falls well after the launch of the 9R, which took place in March. 2021.
It may be worth mentioning that it is possible that the OnePlus 10R will also be available in India and China only, as the OnePlus 9R and 9RT have also not been introduced to the international market.

According to Android Central, the OnePlus 10R will come with a MediaTek Dimension 9000 SoC paired with a minimum of 8GB of RAM and at least 128GB of internal storage.
With OnePlus 10R, OnePlus will target Asian markets that do not rely on mmWave connectivity to provide 5G services.
The new MediaTek Dimension 9000 5G processor is fitted with a highly efficient Cortex-X2 3.05GHz backbone for handling heavy workloads. It is envisaged that the OnePlus 10R will come with an AMOLED display at a rate of 120Hz.
The smartphone will run on the Android 12 operating system with OxygenOS 12 or ColorOS 12 depending on the region.
Price
Although the report does not specify the expected price of the OnePlus 10R, it is thought to have the same value as the OnePlus 9R.
As a reference, the OnePlus 9R was launched in India at an initial price of Rs. 39,999 8GB of RAM with 128GB storage variant. The OnePlus 9R 12GB RAM with a storage capacity of 256GB was introduced at a price of Rs. 43,999.
