Free Fire app by Garena has been abruptly removed from the App Store and Play Store in India. The sudden disappearance of the game on both iOS and Android platforms has raised a number of questions within the gaming community.
The application is not available for download from February 12th. Garena has not yet revealed the exact reason for the app removal from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store yet.
The developer of the popular battle royale game is expected to release an official statement soon. Currently, only Free Fire Max is available for download on the Google Play Store.

The latest problems have left fans of the popular online game scare, and now, several rumors circulating in the public, suspect that the games are banned in India.
However, we would like to remind users that these are just rumors and there has never been a similar confirmation from Garena or the Government of India.
It is recommended that users do not accept any claims and instead wait for an official statement from the developer.
Although the Free Fire app is not available for download in India yet, players who have installed the game on their device can access it. The game works well for such players.
Some reports suggest that this is more than a technical error following a recent update. Recall, in 2020 following the deadly Galwan conflict between Indian and Chinese troops, the Indian government shut down hundreds of Chinese applications including the popular PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite.
Neither Garena nor any of the official social media accounts for Free Fire India have publicly commented on the situation at the time of writing. The Free Fire Facebook account has acknowledged mail login problems and says they are being investigated.
Free Fire has gained great popularity in India especially after the PUBG Mobile game was banned under Section 69A of the IT Act.
