Haryana govt increases dearness allowance from current 17% to 28%

Haryana Prime Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on July 24 announced that he would increase the grant rate from 17 percent to 28%.

The grant increase will take effect from July 1, a spokesman for the department said.The grant has increased and includes the DA payable from January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021, he said.

It will benefit 2.85 lakh public servants and 2.62 lakh government pensioners, the spokesman said.It will add an additional burden of Rs 210 million per month to government grants.
