Google CEO Sundar Pichai revealed the name of the school he attended in Chennai

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has finally removed the noise from his school. When Pichai was appointed CEO of Alphabet Inc, several educational institutions identified Pichai as one of them.

Reportedly, in the same week that he became CEO of Google, there were nearly 350 programs made on the Wikipedia page in the same week he became CEO of Google.

Pichai is not only the CEO of a major tech company, and it ranks among the 100 most influential people in the world.

During an interview at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Pichai was asked about his school. He was shown a list of schools that appeared on his Wikipedia page by a questioner.

In this case, Pichai said two words from Wikipedia were correct and added that he had just completed his schooling at Van Vani in Chennai. The school is located inside the IIT Madras campus.

Pichai also revealed that there were rumors about him that he was studying at home. The report even reached his Wikipedia page, but he clarified that the news was not true. Pichai wikipedia page now displays accurate information related to his school in India.

In terms of Pichai higher education, Pichai entered the popular IIT Kharagpur and earned his B Tech in metal engineering. After that, he headed to Stanford University to pursue his MS in architecture and engineering and obtained an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2004, Pichai took the lead in product management of Google’s client software product portfolio, including Google Chrome. He was responsible for Google Drive, Chrome OS and others at Google.

In 2013, Android became another major development under his leadership. It was previously run by Andy Rubin. However, his first place was not on Google.

He previously worked in the engineering and product management of Applied Materials and at McKinsey & Company management executives.

It was only in 2015 that Pichai was elected CEO of Google. He replaces Larry Page, founder of Google and Sergey Brin. In 2019, Pichai became CEO of Alphabet Inc, a sister company of Google.
