Food delivery giant Zomato is set to launches Zomato Pro Plus membership to selected users from 6 today. Zomato will send an invitation to some of the lucky users where they can enable Zomato Pro Plus membership.
Zomato guarantees the benefits of “unlimited free delivery” to Pro Plus users as the service will generate incremental fees and distance fees for selected users, similar to the benefits of free delivery that Amazon Prime users can receive.
The founder and CEO of the company, Deepinder Goyal made the announcement on Twitter in which he urged users to get a Zomato Pro Plus membership that will bring different benefits to the user.
Zomato Pro Plus membership will be sent to selected lucky users by invitation where users will have to open the app and check if they are eligible or not.
Black credit card holders for the Zomato Edition will be automatically upgraded to Zomato Pro Plus, and regular users will have to purchase the Pro Plus upgrade from the Zomato app.
“So in a few hours, we are launching our Limited Edition * Pro Plus * membership to selected customers,” Goyal wrote on Twitter.
He noted that one of the most sought after items by the company’s customers was to provide unlimited free delivery, such as Amazon Prime Minister’s subscription.
Members of Zomato Pro Plus will be provided with additional benefits such as incremental fees or distance fees, while also receiving Zomato Pro benefits.
Pro Plus membership will be available in 41 cities across India where Zomato offers its Pro registration.
Earlier this month, Zomato gold was upgraded to Zomato Pro which offers discounts on delivery and food. Zomato Pro users get additional discounts and a 40 percent discount on food.
It also offers additional discounts on other offers and delivery of 20 percent of orders. Currently, Zomato has 1.8 million Zomato Pro members.
Pro membership costs Rs 200 for three months and Rs 750 for annual membership. In addition, Zomato Pro has no daily, weekly, or monthly limit on usage.
Zomato also intends to restart its food service which started shortly after the first wave of the coronavirus epidemic.
