Yogi Adityanath To Meet Pm Modi, Bjp’s Top Brass In Delhi To Discuss New Cabinet Formation

On the two days following the assembly election in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, newly elected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, will visit New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discuss new cabinet formation for the state.

Yogi Adityanath, the BJP’s chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, will visit Delhi today to hold consultations with the top leadership of the party.

According to an ANI report, the new government is likely to be sworn in on the dates announced earlier this month. The new Cabinet will also be announced at this time.

Yogi will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the BJP’s national general secretary BL Santhosh during his visit to Delhi.

The BJP won the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections with a clear majority, and Adityanath held a meeting with his ministerial colleagues at the party office in Lucknow on Friday to discuss upcoming plans.

Adityanath, a monk-turned-politician, won his first-ever Assembly election by a large margin from Gorakhpur Urban constituency. He defeated the Samajwadi Party candidate Subhawati Upendra Dutt Shukla, who only secured 62,109 votes in the recently concluded UP Assembly elections.

Adityanath will be the first Chief Minister in the last 37 years to return to power after completing a full term in office.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 255 seats in Uttar Pradesh, while its allies Apna Dal (S) and Nishad Party got 12 and six seats, respectively.

The Samajwadi Party won 111 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, while its alliance partners Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and Rashtriya Lok Dal each got six and eight seats, respectively.

The Congress and the Jansatta Dal each received two seats in the Parliament, while the Bahujan Samaj Party secured one seat.
