Who will become minister in Punjab?

Punjab- After winning the assembly elections with a huge majority and being elected leader of the legislative party, Bhagwant Mann is now busy electing his cabinet in Punjab. Bhagwant Mann will be sworn in as Punjab’s new chief minister on March 16.

Tomorrow, only Bhagwant will take the oath, while the rest of the cabinet will be sworn in later, so now the discussion has started on which faces will become ministers in Bhagwant Mann’s government.

The day after the election results, Bhagwant Mann met with party high command Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi. According to the sources, Bhagwant Mann was given carte blanche for the cabinet selection on behalf of the party high command.

In other words, Mann will choose his own minister. Raghav Chadha, who was present as an observer on behalf of the party during the party meeting of the legislature, had told the media who would be sworn in as ministers. It is the prerogative of the chief minister, Bhagwant Mann, it is the government of Bhagwant Mann, they will decide who will take the oath.

However, any leader associated with the party refrains from speaking openly about it. Meanwhile, no face of this party has also come to the fore who claims the post of minister, but if the sources are to be believed, Bhagwant Mann will express his confidence in the leaders who have supported the party in times difficult.

Many of these leaders who have become MPs for the second consecutive time can become the face of the Bhagwant Mann cabinet. Harpal Cheema, the second highest leader of Punjab after Bhagwant Mann, said that within a week the entire cabinet would also be sworn in. Bhagwant Mann and national party leader Arvind Kejriwal are currently discussing this and they will decide who will be sworn in as minister.

Harpal Singh Cheema to become minister

If the sources are to be believed, the first name among them is that of Harpal Singh Cheema. Harpal Singh Cheema has won the Dirba election for the second consecutive time.

Cheema, who was the opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, was the face of posters and billboards during the election campaign. Before Bhagwant Mann became the face of CM, there were 3 faces on Aam Aadmi party posters in Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and Harpal Singh Cheema.

Cheema is almost certain to become an important face in the Mann firm. There is also a discussion that he could get the post of Deputy Chief Minister as well. However, when we asked Harpal Singh Cheema about it, he said whatever responsibility the party gave him, he fully assumed it, even if the party gives the responsibility, then I will assume it.

Another prominent name is Kultar Singh Sandhwan. Kultar Singh became MP for Kotkapura for the second consecutive time. Kultar Singh is a big face in the Aam Aadmi party in Punjab and it is almost certain that he will be included in the cabinet.

Having become an MP for the second consecutive time from Sunam, the name of Gurmeet Hair is also included in the list of possible ministers. Known in Punjab as Meet Hair. Chairman of the youth wing of the Aam Aadmi party, Gurmeet became MP for Barnala for the second consecutive time.

A strong representation of women can also be seen in the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab. Names considered fixed in the Bhagwant Mann cabinet include Baljinder Kaur and Jeevanjyot Kaur.

Baljinder Kaur was elected MP for Talwandi Sabo for the second consecutive time, while Jeevanjyot Kaur became MP for Amritsar East by defeating two stalwarts like Navjot Singh Sidhu and Vikram Majithia.

Kunwar Vijay Pratap, who became an MP for the first time after beating Akali candidate Anil Joshi from the Amritsar North seat, could also land a senior post in Mann’s cabinet. Former IPS officer Kunwar Vijay Pratap was an investigator in the notorious Bargadi sacrilege case in Punjab.

A total of 17 ministers are to be appointed in the new Punjab government, including Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. But first, only the chief minister will be sworn in and a decision has not yet been made on the rest of the cabinet.

Jaikishan Singh Rodi and Jagdeep Goldie Kamboj are also in discussions over other names to be included in Mann’s cabinet. Jaikishan Rodi became MP for Garhshankar assembly constituency for the second consecutive time, while Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy defeated Akali Dal grand leader Sukhbir Badal in Jalalabad. His name is therefore also mentioned.
