Deepak Chahar Proposes His Girlfriend: Despite losing to the Punjab Kings (PBKS), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Deepak Chahar ended the day on an extremely happy note by proposing to his girlfriend after the game and she said yes. After CSK’s loss in Game 53 of the current Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2021, Chahar went to the stands and surprised his girlfriend, who was dressed in black. The duo was congratulated by those sitting next to them, including MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi. Chahar posted a video of the proposal on Instagram and captioned it as “Special Moment.”
Until the proposal, Chahar had instead a very quiet day as CSK fell to a six-wicket loss against Punjab. While the loss doesn’t really matter to Chennai as they have already qualified for the playoffs, the India international is reportedly looking to make a return to the knockout stage.
The 29-year-old could only take one wicket and conceded 48 Run in four overs, as Punjab ran to 139 for four in 13 overs, breaking through the target of 134 set by CSK with seven overs to resell.
PBKS skipper KL Rahul was in great shape, crushing an unbeaten 98 run on 42 balls.
Initially, CSK scored 134 for six in 20 overs, with Faf du Plessis hitting 76 on 55 balls. Punjab bowlers Chris Jordan and Arshdeep Singh were in good shape, each taking two wickets.
