Virtual Convocation held at IIM Bangalore, Degree awarded to 624 students

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore hosted its 46th convocation on visual mode on April 16. A total of 624 students from various programs graduated this year, of whom 22 from the Ph.D program, -435 from Post Graduate Program Managers (PGP), 72 from the Executive Post Graduate Program in Management (EPGP), 71 from the Post Graduate Program in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), and 24 from Post Graduate Program in Public Policy & Management (PGPPM). The institute also awarded students gold medals for ‘Best All Round Performance’ and ‘Best Academic Performance’.

In the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP) for 2019-2021, Piyush Kabra, Karan Kumar Agarwal and Samir Kaushik Shah were awarded gold medals in first place, second place and Best All Round Performance, respectively. Piyush looks forward to working in the field of education and improving the quality of education. He is from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
In the Executive Post Graduate Program in Management (EPGP) 2020-2021, Sumit More and Abhinav Goswami received the Gold Award for first place and Best All Round Performance.

In the Post Graduate Program in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) 2019-2021, the first gold medal went to Venkata Naga, Swaroop Muvvala and Jagadish Revanna and Gurunathan Subrahmanyan won Best All Round Performance.
At the Post Graduate Program in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) 2020-21, Akta Jain B received the gold medal for Best Academic Performance. He aspires to be a public servant and to apply his studies and experience from IIM-B to the nation-building process.

Varsity also announced the IIMB Distinguished Alumni Awardee in 2021. This award is given to alumni to recognize their achievements in beauty and excellence in their chosen field. Revathy Ashok, a Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP) 1980 batch, co-founder, Strategy Garage, J Laxman Rao, PGP 1982 batch, Chairman and Managing Director, Mold-Tek Technologies Ltd. and Mold-Tek Packaging Ltd. , and Sameer Nair, PGP 1996 batch, Co-founder, Gram Oorja received the IIMB Distinguished Alumni Award. They will also receive a text and their name will be listed on the Wall of Fame at IIMB.
