Uttar Pradesh: As per the announcement, shops outside containment zones have been permitted to operate from 7 am till 7 pm. The state authorities have said that the markets will be allowed to open in areas where the count of cases is below 600.

Lucknow: To prove the slightest improvement in the state of Coronavirus in the province, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to lift some of the restrictions imposed on Covid. The government led by Yogi Adityanath has announced new methods and guidelines that will take effect on June 1.

CM Yogi Adityanath in a statememt on Sunday said, “Curfew will continue in districts which have more than 600 active COVID cases for one more week. When active cases will come under 600 the curfew will end automatically. We’ve eased restrictions in 55 districts from 7 am to 7 pm.” 

According to the announcement of the “opening” process in Uttar Pradesh, shops outside of containment zones are allowed to operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. State officials said markets would be allowed to open in areas where the count of cases was less than 600.

According to an official order, the night curfew will remain in place from 7 pm to 7 am. The weekend restrictions or “corona curfew” will remain in place on Saturday and Sunday. 

The districts having more than 600 Covid cases  – which include Meerut, Lucknow, Ghaziabad Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Gautam Buddh Nagar and 20 others, will continue to witness curfew.

Outside markets, schools, colleges and educational institutions will continue to close. Public areas such as restaurants and cafes will remain closed for meals, but home delivery is permitted. Areas such as amusement parks, museums will remain closed.

A maximum of 20 people are allowed to attend the wedding ceremony while only 10 people can attend the funeral.
