Students Knock on the door of the Supreme Court
Three UPSC aspirants who had passed the 2021 UPSC Preliminary Exam but were unable to appear on all main exam papers after testing positive for COVID-19 have petitioned the Supreme Court to petition the UPSC to extend them a further attempt or alternatively arrange to appear in the rest of the articles they were unable to give, before the publication of the result.

At Monday’s hearing, the UPSC said the issue raised in the petition was “very complicated.” “I think it’s a matter that is very, very complicated. I think I need instructions and to put all the aspects down before your lordships, before a decision is made,” said the counsel for the UPSC to a bench of judges AM Khanwilkar and CT Ravikumar.

The bench posted the case for hearing on March 21 and said affidavits must be filed by the parties by the next date.
