UP Election- More than 60 percent voting in first phase

UP Election Phase One Vote: Assembly Election 2022 (Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election) has started in Uttar Pradesh. As part of the first phase, voting took place Thursday in 58 seats in 11 districts across the state.

Voting began at 7 a.m. and continued until evening. There was enthusiasm among the people regarding the vote. Long queues have been observed in front of the polling stations since the morning.

In the first phase, voting was held in the assembly seats of Shamli, Hapur, Gautam Budh Nagar, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura and Agra districts. A total of 623 candidates are running for these seats, of which 73 are female candidates. In other words, the fate of these 623 candidates was locked in the EVM. Who wins and who loses will be decided on March 10.

58% voting

Until 6 p.m., a participation rate of 60.17% was recorded in 58 seats in the assembly. The maximum vote took place in Kairana. There were 65.3% of votes. The lowest vote was in Sahibabad. There was 38% voting here.

A 105-year-old woman voted

From young to old took part in the vote. A 105-year-old woman arrives to vote at a polling station in Muzaffarnagar. He said I voted for development and security.

In the 2017 elections, the BJP won 53 seats.

Where the BJP hopes to repeat its 2017 performance in the 58 seats where voting took place, the SP-RLD hopes to improve its performance. In the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP won 53 of the 58 seats included in the first phase, while the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party won two seats each. Apart from that, one seat went to the RLD party.

State government ministers Shrikant Sharma, Suresh Rana, Sandeep Singh, Kapil Dev Agarwal, Atul Garg and Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan were contestants in the first phase of the elections. Their luck is locked in EVMs.
