UP. B.Ed Entrance Exam postponed due to COVID surge, New dates to be announced later

The University of Lucknow postponed UP B.Ed JEE 2021 – a test to enter the admission of B.Ed courses. The test was due to be held on May 19. New dates for the entrance test have not yet been announced. In its official statement the University of Lucknow said, “Due to the current state of COVID in the country, May 19, 2021 has been postponed. A new test date will be announced later.” The decision was taken after an online meeting of the JEE B.Ed Advisory Committee 2021.

A total of 6,91,610 students registered for the exam. Of these, 5,91,252 candidates paid the fee and submitted the duly completed form in online mode. Authorities had set up 1,500 checkpoints to hold the same.

Those who cancel the test will be eligible for admission to more than 2500 B.Ed colleges nationwide. This is one of the many postponed tests. Earlier today, the NTA also postponed JEE Main which was an entrance test for B.Tech admission.

Anyone wishing to appear for the UP B.Ed JEE 2021 exam must have a 50 percent graduation degree from any recognized university. This test will consist of two papers, the first will have objective type questions and the second paper will have descriptive type questions.
