Uber Big move Once a ride has been booked, drivers won’t cancel it. Here’s why.

Customers of Uber sometimes become irritated and gripe that the drivers call them only to ask about the drop-off location only to end up canceling the journey. This has been an issue for a while now. However, Uber has taken it into consideration and found a solution that benefits both customers and drivers. According to a recent announcement from Uber, drivers will now be able to see the clients’ destinations even before taking a ride. The ride-hailing behemoth finally makes the long-awaited change after carefully considering driver comments.

In a statement describing the change, Uber said: “Drivers on the Uber platform across India will now be able to see the trip destination before they decide to accept the ride. This will increase transparency and reduce irritation for customers and drivers. Uber chose to remove the trip acceptance criterion and roll out the unconditional functionality to all locations after being encouraged by a decline in trip cancellations following the experimental launch in May 2022. Uber will keep an eye on driver and passenger feedback and adjust as necessary.

Uber has also lately taken a number of new actions to protect its drivers and put them in a more secure position. The corporation had raised the fares in light of the rising cost of fuel. Additionally, the business began paying drivers for long-distance pick-ups to offset their expenses. Even better, the corporation switches to paying drivers only on weekdays, changing the frequency of payments.

In addition, the drivers will also now get to know their mode of payment as soon as they accept the ride. To facilitate the drivers, Uber also introduced cashless operations at multiple major airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. Earlier, the payment was reimbursed later by the company.
