Tripura- Delta Plus variant in Tripura: Tripura confirmed on Friday that out of 151 samples sent to West Bengal for genome sequencing, more than 90 samples were found positive. The Delta Plus variant was confirmed in all of these samples, which increased the possibility of a third wave of Kovid-19. State medical experts have provided information on the matter.
Dr Deep Dev Verma, Nodal Officer for COVID-19 in Tripura, said on Friday: “Tripura had sent 151 RT-PCR samples to West Bengal for genome sequencing. Cases discovered in two districts of Uttar Pradesh
First, two cases of Delta Plus Covid-19 variants were recorded in Gorakhpur and Deoria in Uttar Pradesh. The Delta Plus variant was found in a 23-year-old MBBS student living in Gorakhpur. At the same time, an elderly resident of Deoria district died. The old man was 66 years old. The elderly were found to be corona positive on May 17.
