Tripura Government Postponed Class 10th,12th Pre-Boards, TBSE Board Exams as per schedule

Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, the Tripura government has decided to postpone the grade 10th and 12th pre-board exams. The order applies to government, local government, private schools, and madrasas. While the government is calling for “strict adherence to” preliminary boards, 10th and 12th board exams are still yet to be suspended. Many boards including CBSE, CISCE, and other state boards have also cancelled class10th and postponed 12th class exams. But, TBSE has recently said that it would conduct the board exams according to schedule.

The TBSE Board exams for classes 10 and 12 are scheduled to be held from May 18 onwards. More than 50,000 students are expected to appear in the 12th class and an estimated 30,000 will appear in the 10th class exams. As a break, this year the Tripura Board has reduced the syllabus by 30 percent in board tests. Boards will be held within strict covid-19-related guidelines, according to the TBSE.

Tests for classes 9 and 11 at Tripura-based schools have also been postponed until further notice, as was the case with local authorities.

Meanwhile, the Tripura government has decided to close schools and colleges until further notice. This includes private colleges and schools based in Tripura. The govt will only allow pre-planned tests to take place including Board exams.
