Tokyo Olympics Hockey: The final score-line was 3-1! Dilpreet, Gurjant and Hardik were the goal scorers for India in the quarter-final of the Tokyo Olympics 2020. India will face Belgium in the semi-final.

Tokyo Olympics Hockey: India won a historic match against Great Britain in the quarter-finals of the men’s hockey event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. With this victory, India secured a place in the semi-finals of the Olympics this year. One more victory will secure a silver medal for India in hockey.

India won the semi-final 3-1 thanks to a brilliant individual goal from Hardik Singh late in the match and two early goals from Gurjant and Dilpreet. Indian goalkeeper Sreejesh was also brilliant today.

It was after 41 years that the Indian team managed to reach the quarter-finals. The last time India reached an Olympic semi-final was at the 1980 Moscow Olympics. India won the gold medal that year.

India will now face Belgium in the semi-finals.

India has dominated the quarter-finals from the start. India scored the first goal in the 7th minute of the game in the first quarter, while the second goal was scored in the 16th minute, just after the start of the second quarter. Gurjant and Dilpreet were India’s two scorers in the 16th and 7th minutes of the match.

The third half of the game was relatively calm as India went on the defensive and did not allow Great Britain to score any goals. Great Britain had a few chances at the end of the third quarter and finally scored a goal in the dying moments of the third quarter.

The men’s team advanced to the round of 16 and made a big comeback after being bamboozled 1-7 by Australia. India managed to defeat New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, and Japan in group matches.

India’s hockey campaign has been excellent so far. The men’s team reached the semi-finals, while the women’s teams advanced to the quarter-finals. The men’s team won it brilliantly by winning four of their five league games while the women’s team was lucky in qualifying based on Ireland’s loss in the final group game against Great Britain.
