The Apple Watch finds a hard fall and warns dad, helping to save another life

A man from Long Island, USA has thanked his Apple Watch for saving his life after a serious fall. According to a report last month, 25-year-old Brandon Schneider had to go to hospital after suffering a number of stomachs for several days.

Along with his Apple Watch, Schenider went to the hospital toilet and after a few minutes in the bathroom, he fainted and fell to the ground.

Fortunately, the Apple Watch crash detection feature quickly analyzed the situation and Schneider’s Apple Watch sent a stress call to both 911 and emergency contacts after failing to respond to device notification.

“I remember washing my hands in thought. Something is going to happen, “Schneider said,” I don’t remember falling down, shaking my head, or anything from the subsequent incidents. “

CT scans revealed that Schneider had a fractured skull and multiple hematomas. Bleeding would be severe and would soon require emergency surgery on the brain.

The 25-year-old boy underwent brain surgery and woke up four days later.

If his Apple Watch hadn’t experienced a serious fall and sent a notice, Schneider would not have survived his injury.

“My Apple Watch’s experienced a sharp drop and I didn’t respond to the same haptic message that required a 45-second response,” Schneider said.

Apple may not have built specifically its own clocks to save lives, but the device certainly does a good job so far. It creates the illusion of the technology that is needed to monitor the health of the owners

The Apple Watch crash feature was first introduced with the Apple Watch Series 4 in 2018 and we find out if the user has fallen too far.

If the person does not respond within 45 seconds, the clock sends a message to a favorite contact and calls the emergency services.

There have been other life-saving incidents of Apple Watch people, last year, a teenager was rescued from a possible heart attack when his Apple Watch found that his heart rate was unusually high.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the young man was diagnosed with a rare form of heart disease called Supraventricular Tachycardia. It is characterized by rapid heartbeat over time.

Apple unveiled its latest Apple Watch 6 and less expensive Apple Watch SE in 2020 and is expected to launch its replacement later this year.
