Telegram Receives Support for Group Video Calls, Live Domains and Emoji with New Updates

Telegram has finally introduced video calls for groups – more than a year after the first announcement of its arrival. Users on all mobile devices, tablets, and desktops can use the update to convert their audio chats into video conference calls.

This new London-based instant messaging app captures the likes of Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Apple’s FaceTime.

In addition to group video calls, Telegram has brought a few changes to the interface level through the latest update.

These changes include adding animated domains, new messaging animation, and new animated emoji. Updated Telegram also includes a special button menu for bots.

Telegram group video calls

The most important change Telegram brings with it is the ability to allow users to turn their group audio conversations into video calls.

Users only need to tap the camera icon in the group audio call to unlock their video. Once enabled, you can pin one of your team members to see their video before.

Telegram also offers the option to share your screen with both your camera and screen feeds at the same time.

Users on tablets and desktops get additional support during video calls, where they can open a side panel and view a screen view of the video grid and list of participants.

It will be designed for both portrait and landscape layouts, Telegram said on blogpost.

On desktops, users will also be able to share selected screens. This means that users can broadcast only one program during their group video calls, instead of showing the rest of the screen to the rest of the screen.

This is similar to how you can share a specific screen from your desktop when using Zoom.

Desktop users will find auto-pinned members when they share their screen.

In addition, voice chats will be available on desktops in a separate window to allow users to type and speak without leaving out some of their important functions.

Telegram now also allows users to make group voice calls with an unlimited number of participants. However, the option to make group video calls is currently limited to the first 30 people who join the chat on the platform.

This simply means that you cannot add more than 29 members to your group video calls to Telegram. However, Telegram has promised to increase that limit soon.

In April last year, Telegram first announced plans to bring video calls to the platform.

Chief executive Pavel Durov in April this year said the new system would be available in May. However, it has now been introduced for mobile and desktop users.

Unlike Telegram, WhatsApp has had a long-standing support group.

Telegram users, however, have discovered this feature with enhancements that include screen sharing to give them a limitation via WhatsApp, the world’s leading messaging app.

Facebook introduced screen sharing in its Messenger program last year.

Telegram also enables advanced audio compression in voice chats to make audio clearer.

However, users can disable the sound pressure in case they deliberately want a specific sound to enter the phone.

Animated Telegraph backgrounds, message animation
Telegram also brought new changes, at the interface level as part of its latest updates.

These changes include animated backgrounds with gradient wallpapers of various colors, algorithmically generated and distributed each time you send a message.

You can also create your own animated backgrounds by choosing multiple colors and patterns. Once created, you can share your background with your contacts.

Update has enabled animation and animation results that appear when you send a message.

You will also see new animation effects when sending media files via Telegram. In addition, iOS users have found two new gradient app icons available for access to Settings> Appearance in the app.
