Team India- Indian Team for 2021 T20 World Cup: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member Indian squad for the 2021 T20 World Cup to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman. Apart from that, BCCI has also selected three reserve players, who will go with Team India. At the same time, BCCI has entrusted former captain MS Dhoni with great responsibility for the World Cup.

Dhoni will be a mentor

BCCI have appointed former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as Team India’s mentor for the 2021 T20 World Cup. Dhoni is also believed to have played an important role in choosing the 15-man squad for the World Cup.

These players including Dhawan, Chahal and Iyer did not have a place

Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer were not included in the Indian 15-man squad. However, Iyer was kept in the standby drive. Other than that, Washington Sundar is also not in this squad due to injury. Surprisingly, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal did not find a place in the World Cup squad.

Ashwin returns to the team

At the same time, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Rahul Chahar are also part of this team. Along with this, the mysterious spinner Varun Chakraborty was also included in the team.

Suffice to say that the Indian team will play its first match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. This match will be played on October 24. After that, Team India will face New Zealand on October 31, Afghanistan on November 3 and the qualifying team (B-1) in Super 12 on November 5.
