Sushmita Dev joined TMC after resigning from Congress

Sushmita Dev joins TMC: President of the Women’s Wing of Congress, Sushmita Dev, has resigned from the main membership, dealing a heavy blow to the party. After that, Dev joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC). On this occasion, the national secretary general of TMC and nephew of CM Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, was present.

According to sources, All India Mahila Congress President Sushmita sent party leader Sonia Gandhi her resignation on August 15. She was a member of the Lok Sabha of Silchar in Assam.

Last week, Sushmita Dev went to meet Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi with the new Assam Congress team. Not only that, he also met Rahul Gandhi at Delhi airport when Rahul was returning from Srinagar.

Sources said that after joining Trinamool, Sushmita can now become the party in charge of Tripura, where assembly elections are scheduled for next year. Here, TMC deploys all its strength. The late Santosh Mohan Dev, originally from Assam State and from the father of Bengali Sushmita Dev, has won the Lok Sabha election five times from the seat of Silchar in addition to the seat of Tripura West twice.

Let us tell you that in the Assam Assembly elections this year, Sushmita Dev became very angry with the alliance seat sharing with AIUDF and threatened to quit the party.
