Student letter to Education Ministry seeks postponement of NEET UG 2022.

Less than a week remains until the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) 2022, yet requests for a delay continue. Students have sent a 19-page statement to the Ministry of Education in the latest effort to delay the NEET 2022 Exam, which will soon release admit cards.

This memo outlines the demands made by numerous applicants as well as the difficulties they allege to be encountering. They said that since the official NEET UG notification was released on April 6, 2022, the preparation period had been fewer than 100 days. They claim that this is in contrast to the customary procedure, which calls for notifying applicants at least five months before the exam date.

The number of requests for a postponement increased in July, with many applicants seeking for a 40-day delay in the exam’s schedule, effectively moving it to September. The memorandum follows a number of actions, including demonstrations in person and online, a call for a hunger strike, and letters from student unions, advocacy groups, and parent associations. On social media, there has been a continual demand for PM Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to delay the NEET 2022 deadline.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the NEET UG 2022 admission exam on July 17. As soon as today, July 10, the admit card may become available.
