Special: When Will Covid Second Wave Reduce? AIIMS Chief Randeep Guleria Reveals All About The Epidemic

“I believe the virus second wave will be at its highest level in some areas and vice versa. Cases are on the decline in Maharashtra. The situation is stable in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and the Punjab. Cases are expected to decrease during the month. However, cases will increase in the North East and Bengal. That’s when the whole case will start to decrease until next month, ”he said.

New Delhi: As India pulls down the second wave of Covid-19 and hospitals across the country are flooded with complaints about a lack of medicines, oxygen and other essential supplies.

Dr Guleria said the second wave of the virus would only weaken after people cooperated and took all necessary precautions.

“I believe the virus will be at its highest level in some areas and vice versa. Cases are on the decline in Maharashtra. The situation is stable in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and the Punjab. Cases are expected to be reduced by mid-month. However, cases will increase in the North East and Bengal. That’s when the whole case will start to decrease until next month, ”he said.

Dr Guleria, said the drop in Covid-19 cases was dependent on people.

“We have to break the chain of transmission. Everyone needs to start a campaign together. They all need to stay home and wear masks. Do not leave the house if necessary. Do not gather the crowd for two to three months. Don’t go to any party, ”he added.

Lockdown:

Talking about the lockdown being imposed to curb the spread of the infection, Dr Guleria said several states have taken steps at their own level.

“The meaning of lockdown at this point of time is to ensure that people do not meet so that the chain of corona virus is broken. Lockdown should be imposed for two weeks in areas where the positivity rate is high. The hospitals are left with less beds. There is a need to ensure strictness during the lockdown. If the movement of people continues then it makes no sense. The speed with which cases are rising, any health care system will become weak in dealing with it,” he added.

Effectiveness of vaccines

Dr Guleria, while talking about the effectiveness of the coronavirus vaccine, said a number of cases were reported in which people suffered despite taking the drug.

“This was highlighted during the (vaccination) testing. I believe that 80 percent of people will build up their immune system after taking the vaccine. It does not work 100 percent. People need to be careful even after taking the vaccine. The vaccine is effective for all types of corona, ”he added.

Covid heart attack:

Dr Guleria said coronavirus affects our lungs.

“In many cases, blood clotting occurs and affects our heart in many ways. In some cases bleeding began in the intestines. We tried to rescue him, ”he added.

Third Wave:

The director of AIIMS said it was true that those who were not affected so far would be hit by the arrival of new waves of the virus.

“Vaccines should also be given to children. Research into vaccines is ongoing, ”he added.
