South Africa vs India 1st ODI: In the first ODI played at Boland Park, Paarl, South Africa beat India by 31 points. With that, the host team took a 1-0 lead in the three-game series. Temba Bavuma and Rasi van der Dussen managed the innings after three wickets fell for just 68 runs in the 18th and took the side to a tough scoreline. Bavuma marked the second century of his ODI career. At the same time, Dussen also marked his second ODI century.
Captain Temba Bavuma scored 110 points. On the other hand, Rassie van der Dussen scored an undefeated 129. Bavuma hit eight fours and faced 143 balls in his century. Meanwhile, Dussen hit 9 fours and four sixes in his 96-ball innings.
Bavuma and Dusen shared a record partnership of 204 runs for the fourth wicket. This is the second highest partnership for fourth wicket against India in ODIs. While David Miller went undefeated over two runs.
Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets for 48 runs in 10 overs for India. While Ravichandran Ashwin has made a breakthrough. He gave up 53 runs in his 10 overs. On the other hand, Shardul Thakur, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal did not achieve any success. He gave 72, 64 and 53 points respectively.
