Shilpa Shetty Kundra Wishes ‘Fellow Indians’ on India’s 75th Independence Day

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Shilpa Shetty Kundra is going through a difficult phase in her life as her husband Raj Kundra was arrested last month for his alleged role in the production of pornographic content. Although the “Hungama 2” actress has kept her distance from social media since then, on this Independence Day, Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram and shared her heartfelt wishes on this special occasion for ” Indian companions ”.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra posted a short video montage and wrote: “I wish all my Indian compatriots around the world a very happy independence day”.

Many other celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Ajay Devgn, and other celebrities also expressed their wishes on the occasion of India’s Independence Day.

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police Criminal Branch on July 19, 2021, for his alleged role in the production of adult films. The businessman is currently in custody and Shilpa released a statement amid all the controversy on his social media.

Shilpa Shetty’s statement read: “Yes! The last few days have been difficult on all fronts. There have been a lot of rumors and accusations. Lots of unwarranted slander against me by the media and (not so) sympathizers too. Lots of trolling / questions were asked… not only to me but also to my family. MY POSITION… I HAVE NOT commented YET and I will continue to refrain from doing so on this matter as it is pending, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “never complain, never explain”. All I will say is that, as this is an ongoing investigation, I have full confidence in the Mumbai Police and Indian Justice. As a family, we use all of our available legal remedies. But, until then, I humbly ask you – especially as a MOTHER – to respect our privacy for the sake of my children and ask you to refrain from commenting on half-cooked information without verifying its veracity. I am a proud law-abiding citizen of India and a diligent professional for 29 years. People trusted me and I never let anyone down. So, more importantly, I ask you to respect my family and “my right” to privacy in these times. We do not deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course. Satyamev Jayate!
