Darlings, Alia Bhatt’s first producing effort, debuted on Netflix today, and the actress has received accolades from both fans and critics. Along with Alia, the film is co-produced by Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions and Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, and it stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew in significant parts. Following the film’s release, King Khan, who has always been a fan of Alia, took to social media to announce that he will be seeing it on his day off.
The actor just returned to Mumbai after shooting in London for his film Dunki. “Been working the last few days non stop….so needed to indulge in my favourite past time….’the love of my own person’ & to pamper myself, will spend the day with Prabhuji / Thums up and #DARLINGS (this is not an endorsement, just’mees spoilingss mees on a days offs pleaj….’)” SRK wrote on Twitter.
When the film’s trailer was out, SRK turned to Twitter to express his gratitude to Alia. “Lil one, I am also so anxious because u shared the responsibility of Eternal Sunshine Productions’ debut film with me…that I shall be gnawing my nails until it releases,” he wrote in a tweet to her. But I think we have a great film, and you’re the heart and soul of everything, Darlings.”
