According to ANI news agency, DCP Deepak Yadav from New Delhi said that apart from the terrorist threat to the soldiers, the case of Covid-19 is also a big challenge. He asked the police to take the necessary precautions and keep the security arrangements in New Delhi very strict.
He said we have accelerated the process of vetting tenants and visitors in hotels around New Delhi. Rapid reaction teams will be deployed for any untoward incident. Along with this, Deepak Yadav said that we are also closely monitoring flying objects that enter the security cordon.
This time, only 24,000 people will be able to join
He said we have installed facial recognition systems with 300 cameras around the Rajpath (Security of Rajpath). There are databases of 50,000 suspected criminals in this system. Deepak Yadav further stated that due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 4,000 tickets will be available and only 24,000 people will be allowed to attend this function.
IED material part of consignment dropped by Pak drone
The explosive material used in the IED recently discovered at Ghazipur Phool Mandi in Delhi was suspected to be part of a shipment dropped by Pakistani drones in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. The authorities gave this information on Monday. He said recent seizures and use of RDX in IEDs found in Mandi indicate the role of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI in the matter.
The IED was discovered in Ghazipur Phool Mandi on January 14, before Republic Day. A senior police officer said: “After obtaining the IED, around 40 people linked to Ghazipur Phool Mandi were interviewed as part of the investigation. However, we have not yet obtained any concrete information on this.
