The Apple vs Samsung debate is not over, but more recently it seems the latest is taking a toll on Apple with a few of its products and services.
The latest example is being cited online now, where Samsung has obviously followed in Apple’s footsteps with its web browsing experience.
Apple has just begun releasing an update to iOS 15 on its iPhones. The update brings a few changes to the company’s Safari web browser.
One such feature allows iPhone users to set the address bar at the bottom of the web browser, as opposed to its normal position at the top of the screen. Samsung seems to be inspired by this idea now.
Note that this idea is not new, as Apple is not the first to introduce it to its users. A few web browsers already offer you the option to change the address bar at the bottom of your phone.
Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox Preview and Vivaldi are some of the highlights among them. The idea is to provide easy access to the address bar for users while browsing the web.
Now why is Samsung being mistreated?
That’s because the company introduced this feature in its Samsung internet browser soon after Apple introduced Safari with iOS 15.
The update to the Samsung Internet beta app has already been released for Samsung smartphones and offers the opportunity to switch users. address bar in a web browser that runs down, like Safari.
Samsung Internet users can find this option in Layout Menu and Settings within the browser. The new “Address bar location” option will allow users to choose between an old web browser layout with an address bar at the top and a new style with an address bar at the bottom of the screen.
As revealed by Dan Seifert of The Verge in a recent tweet, the two browsers look exactly the same when the option is enabled for both.
If you ever wonder if Samsung came up with the idea alone or inspired by the updated Safari browser, you really don’t need to.
