RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-learning edition launched, priced at Rs 41,999

Xiaomi on Wednesday afternoon unveiled the RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-learning edition in India. These are the first laptops under the product under Redmi in the country.

The company had entered the laptop segment last year with the launch of the Mi Notebook series.

New Redmi laptops are cheaper and aimed at students and instant users. Both products were unveiled during an online event on Wednesday afternoon.

Both laptops in the RedmiBook series feature 15-inch displays. Xiaomi has provided them with 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake processors and promises 10-hour battery life.

Laptops will be integrated with Windows 10 Home, MS Office 2019 and Mi share file transfer.

Price of RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e learning edition in India

The price of RedmiBook Pro in India is set at Rs 49,999. Customers will receive a discount of Rs 3,500 on purchases using credit cards or HDFC Bank cards.

Currently, the RedmiBook e-learning edition will cost Rs 41,999 for a range of 256GB of storage and Rs 44,999 for 512GB of SSD.

Both variants will receive a discount of Rs 2,500 for purchases using HDFC Bank credit and debit cards.

RedmiBook Pro features and specifications

RedmiBook’s Pro features a 15.6inch Full HD display and a 720p HD web camera for video calls. Laptop comes with one Charcoal Gray color option.

The RedmiBook’s Pro will come with Intel’s 11th Gen Core i5 Tiger Lake processor.

This will be combined with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD. The laptop computer weighs 1.8kg and is 19.9mm thick.

Connection options on RedmiBook 15 Pro include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5.0, as well as USB 3.2 Type-C, single USB 2.0, single HDMI port, and audio jack.

There is also an SD card reader. This device has two 2W stereo speakers.

Laptops running Windows 10 from now on, however, Xiaomi has promised free upgrades to Windows 11 by the end of the year.

Xiaomi has not commented on the battery size of the portable computer but confirms it could last about 10 hours.

Features of RedmiBook’s e learning edition and specification

The RedmiBook’s e-learning edition will come with Intel’s 11th Gen Core i3 Tiger Lake processor.

This model will have the option to choose between 256GB or 512GB SSD. All other features of the RedmiBook e-learning edition are always the same as the RedmiBook Pro.
