RCB Retained Players 2022

The Royal Challengers Bangalore has opted to go with Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammed Siraj. Kohli and Maxwell were to be retained as key players of this format. AB de Villiers’ retirement made RCB’s selection headaches a little simpler since he would have been on the retention list. On the other hand, other retained players were the center of attention.

About RCB

The Royal Challengers Bangalore are a cricket team that is based in Bangalore, Karnataka. The team plays in the Indian Premier League. The team was founded in 2008 by United Spirits and is named after the company’s liquor brand, Royal Challenge. The team has played its home matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium since its inception.

Despite being runners-up on three occasions between 2009 and 2016, the Royal Challengers have never won the IPL. This has earned them the tag of “underachievers”. The team holds the records of both the highest and the lowest totals in the IPL – 263/5 and 49 respectively.
