PostponeJEEMains2022: The Joint Entrance Test (JEE) Main 2022 was supposed to start on June 20, but the National Testing Agency (NTA) modified the dates to start on June 23 and end on June 29 when it released the exam city notification slip. Applicants are now requesting another exam postponement, stating that the continuing Agnipath protest over the new army recruitment route has disrupted transport routes and caused aΒ disturbance in their districts.

The NTA has not yet responded to student requests or released the admit card. The JEE Main admit card is usually released about ten days before the exam. The JEE admit cards are yet to be released, even though the fact that the exam is less than three days away. Over 8 lakh students are eagerly awaiting clarity on the same.

The engineering entrance exam will be held in 501 cities across the country and 22 places outside of India. This is the first time the exam has been held outside of the United States since the outbreak.

While candidates from all over India will be sitting the exam, numerous trains have been cancelled and railway property has been vandalised by a group of youth claiming to be job seekers as a result of the Agnipath protest. Students claim that this will have an impact on their trip.
