PM address – Celebration of Independence Day 2021: On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address from the ramparts of the Red Fort. During this one, 32 players including Neeraj Chopra, gold medalist at the Olympic Games, will be present. In addition, a separate enclosure was made for the Covid-Warriors in the public gallery. For the first time, Air Force helicopters will rain flowers during this time.

According to the Defense Ministry, because the country is celebrating the Amrit Independence Festival, this time the Independence Day celebrations are going to be very special. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort at 7.18am (PM address). Before that, he will lay a wreath at the Samadhi of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in Raj Ghat. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Defense Minister Ajay Bhatt, Chief of Defense Staff, General Bipin Rawat, Defense Secretary Ajay Kumar and the heads of the three squadrons of the army will receive the Red Fort at the Red Fort.

The Defense Secretary will meet the Prime Minister along with the Delhi region GOC, Lieutenant General Vijay Kumar. The GOC will then salute the troops of the three organs (Army, Air Force and Navy) at Fort Rouge at PM. Meanwhile, a Delhi Police Salvation Contingent will also be present. 20 to 20 soldiers and police will be present in these units.

Responsibility for the 75th Independence Day celebrations at Fort Rouge is assigned to the Navy. Therefore, the command of the Inter-Service and the Police Guard will be with the Commander of the Navy, Piyush Gaur. Apart from that, the command of the navy will be held by Lieutenant Commander Sune Phogat, Squadron Leader A Berwal of the Air Force and Major Vikas Sangwan of the Army. Delhi Police will be commanded by the additional DCP, Subodh Kumar Goswami.

After the salute of the armed forces, the GOC will take the Prime Minister to the ramparts of Fort Rouge. There, the Lieutenant Commander of the Navy, P. Priambada Sahu will hoist the tricolor flag to the PM. The national anthem will be played with the hoisting of the flag. The national anthem will be sung by the Inter-Service Band, which will be led by MCPO Vincent Johnson.

A 21-gun salute will also be given when the flag is hoisted. The army’s 2233 field battery (ceremony) will salute these guns. This battery will be commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Jitendra Singh Mehta. As the flag is hoisted, different units of Delhi Army, Air Force, Navy and Police will salute the nation. Immediately after the flag is hoisted, two Indian Air Force M-17 helicopters will rain flowers. The pilots of these helicopters are Wing Commander Baldev Singh Bisht and Wing Commander Nikhil Mehrotra.

After the rain of flowers, PM Modi will address the country (PM address). Like every year, once again the eyes of the country and the world will be riveted on the Prime Minister’s speech. Following the speech, approximately 500 NCC cadets will sing the national anthem. With this, the ceremony will end at the Red Fort.
