Over 27 Lakh People Receive Coronavirus Vaccine Jabs Today

With more than 10 crore vaccines administered in 85 days, the Union Department of Health noted, all eligible Indians could be fully vaccinated within three years.
New Delhi: More than 27 lakh vaccines were introduced today, April 11, the first day of the four-day ‘Tika Utsav’ announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to find the highest number of vaccinated people. The mass vaccination program will run until April 14. With more than 10 doses of vaccines being administered over 85 days, the Union Department of Health has noted, all eligible Indians could be fully vaccinated within three years.
India achieved a milestone after the launch of the COVID-19 vaccination program on January 16. In consultation with the Prime Ministers of various provinces and union areas, Prime Minister Modi urged them to focus on vaccinating all those over the age of 45 in high regional cases.
Collectively, according to today’s interim data, a total of 10,15,95,147 vaccine doses have been given 15,17,963 times, the Department of Health and Family Welfare said. Given the current speed limit, a complex calculation shows that it would take 1,156 days to vaccinate every eligible Indian person.
The Department of Health also said that India is the fastest in the world to distribute 100 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine, achieved this task in 85 days and the US took 89 days and China 102 days.
In Delhi, all mobilization became the main focus of ‘Tika Utsav’ and rightly so, a special effort was made by the authorities. A total of 1,04,862 people were given COVID-19 treatment in Delhi in the last 24 hours. This includes 91,099 people who are given initial doses of vaccines. Vaccination in the workplace was also launched as part of the ‘Tika Utsav’, the Delhi government said.
Goa received an enthusiastic response with 8,189 people over the age of 45 receiving COVID-19 jabs. The ‘Tika Utsav’ drive in Goa was held by three Panchayat.
