Online Certificate Program in Project Management at IIT Delhi

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has introduced a certificate course in project management. Classes for the same will begin on June 23, and continue. It is a five-month course offered by the Continuing Education Program (CEP), IIT-Delhi. Classes will be on Sundays from 6:45 PM to 9:45 PM. Anyone who has completed a degree or three-year diploma course will be able to apply.

The online application process is open and will close on June 7. Applicants listed will be notified by June 11 and will have to submit their money. The deadline for submission is June 18. Applicants may pay the fee in two installments. On June 18 Rs 30,000 will be spent with GST and the same amount will be paid on August 20.

As part of the lesson, students will study a number of topics including project portfolio approach, project and financial risk analysis, project data analysis, ethical and leadership aspects of project management among others. A total of 24 modules will be covered in the study. IIT says the course is designed for new graduates and first-time professionals working in or wishing to work in project management fields, technology managers across the industry, consultants, entrepreneurs and investors.

It will introduce you to the tools and techniques used for complete project management – from implementation to closure. Enrolling in this program will equip you with strong planning skills, the ability to set clear goals and realistic goals and achieve them with the same determination.”

Participants who obtain at least 50 per cent in the evaluation components and maintain a minimum of 60 per cent attendance in both lectures and courses will be awarded a certificate of completion. Participants who do not get 50 percent in the assessment sections will be able to obtain a participation certificate if their attendance is more than 60 percent in both lectures and courses.
