OnePlus Nord 2 5G now gets the latest OxygenOS update, brings fixes to call recording problems

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G has begun receiving new OxygenOS updates. The latest smartphone update came less than two weeks ago. It seems like the company wants to leave any bend on the device even though it deserves to get two major Android upgrades.

Many device owners have gone to court claiming that the A.15 update killed call recording function on the Google Phone app in India. Considering that the feature has always been found, the said deletion looks unusual.

The company was able to identify and fix the problem with the A.16 update, as the update update record states, so users should now be able to record calls as they did in older updates.

The update log intended for Indian users, shared with other users at OnePlus Community Forums, indicates that the update “corrects the loss of Google call recording.” Some changes are similar to the last update.

The software update does not bring any changes to the Android security cache as it remains the December 2021 version.

As is customary, the update is done in batches, which means that it will initially be released only for users’ selection following the extensive launch after OnePlus has verified that everything is fine with it.

At that point, you can also track the update manually through the Software Update section under the Settings app.

The OnePlus Nord 2 was launched in July 2021 as a successor to the original Nord. Compatible with the Mediatek Dimension 1200 SoC, the device is portrayed as an affordable flag that displays excellent performance and a limited specification sheet, and we love it for what it intends to do.

It is important to note here that, some users have now taken to OnePlus Community forums to report that after updating OnePlus Nord 2 5G to the latest version of the software, users can no longer turn off the torch using the power button.

OnePlus smartphones usually turn off the built-in flashlight when the user double-clicks the side power button.
