Nursery Admission 2021: Merit list on March 20, Check details

New Delhi: The Directorate of Education (DoE) will release the merit list for nursery admission in Delhi-based schools on March 20. The registration process for the same took place between February 18 and March 4 in nearly 1700 schools across the UT. The DoE will announce the list of merit based on the application submitted by the parents. Children under the age of four will be enrolled in the Nursery class while in KG and Class 1, the age limit is five and six years respectively. The minimum age of admission of nurses is three years and the admission of KG is four years.

List of documents needed at the time of enrolment/admission of their in respective schools:

1. Colour passport size of child passport
2. Pass size size of parent / guardian photo image
3. Family photo
4. Proof of address
5. Birth certificate of the child
6. Aadhaar Card for Kids
7. Adhaar Parent / Guardian Card

Of the total seats available at each school, 75% will be provided for candidates while 25% will be for the poor, economically disadvantaged (DG), and children with special needs (CWSN) seats. The same admission process will be done later in one lot. The Delhi government education department will issue a separate list of eligibility for the vacancies.

List of documents required for nursery admission in reserved quota:

1. Proof of residence
2. EWS certificate
3. Income certificate
4. Caste Certificate
5. Birth certificate of the child
6. Certificate of special needs of the child, if any
7. A picture of a child
8. Orphan certificate and guardian certificate, where applicable
9. Transgender certificate, if required
10. SMS or email confirmation email
11. Application form.


As the eligibility list is issued, parents will have to submit the above documents to complete the verification process done by each school. Schools will also issue a waiting list for applicants who will be considered for the second round of admission. The second merit list will be released on March 25. Admission to Delhi crèches will close on March 31.
