New Delhi: Carl Pei’s consumer tech brand Nothing launched Nothing Ear 1 Black Edition in India on Wednesday with a matte black finish. The price of Nothing Ear 1 Black Edition in India is set at Rs 6,999, or Rs 1,000 more than the white color variant. The new black color variant retains a semi-transparent case with a smoked finish and matte black color.

However, the original white color option is also currently available for Rs 6,999 domestically.

The Nothing Ear 1 Black Edition will debut on December 13 on Flipkart. Potential buyers will have the option to use cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), and Dogecoin (DOGE) to purchase the device through the company’s official website. However, this payment option will be available in some countries, and it does not include India.

The charging case of the new Nothing Ear (1) has also been modified to feature the same matte black finish as the original white variant. The hinge and pairing button have also been colored black to match.

In terms of specs, the Nothing Ear (1) Black features a single 11.6mm dynamic driver. The headphones also feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and two intensity levels.

The battery life of the headphones is four hours with the ANC function on and up to 5.7 hours with the ANC function off. The included charging case promises to deliver up to 34 hours of playtime. This pair is resistant to sweat and splashing water, and the charging case can be charged via a USB Type-C cable. Connectivity options on Nothing Ear 1 include Bluetooth 5.2 with SBC and AAC codecs.

Meanwhile, earlier in November, Nothing announced that he had found support in celebrities including filmmaker Karan Johar, fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, former cricketer Yuvraj Singh, digital content creator Ranveer. Albania and singer Jasleen Royal.

According to Nothing, based in London, Mukherjee, Johar, and Singh had joined its investment round announced last month.
