Not more than 1000 search for slot on CO-WIN per day!

Not more than 1000 times per day for a vaccine location on CO-WIN will be blocked, only 50 OTPs are allowed to be generated
New Delhi: Users repeatedly seek to reserve vaccine slots on the central government’s Kovid-19 vaccine registration website CO-WIN. But now, users who search for a vaccine slot over 1,000 times (Not more than) per day and generate over 50 OTPs in 24 hours will be blocked. These users will be blocked for 24 hours.

Apart from this, the system will also log out users who search on Co-Win more than 20 times in 15 minutes. These steps are part of an effort to stop bots or scripts to automate slot bookings on the Co-Win website.

Ability to search for slots without even logging in
An official told The Times of India in a report that the idea is that people who book slots manually don’t have to compete with bots. The official said the website already has a public slot search option available on the portal, where users can search for slots without logging in. Apart from that, this official said that users who make 20 or more requests in a very short period of time increase the suspicion of bot activity.

Other applications also register to allow
the new central government issued new guidelines for victory allowing third parties to enable the recording, planning and management of vaccinations through its app. This is an update to the existing framework where developers can simply provide information on slot availability and download vaccination certificates through their app. Previously, the government’s Aarogya Setu and UMANG were the only two apps through which users could book registration and appointments for the Kovid-19 vaccine outside of Co-Win.
