Nokia 4.2 Getting Android 11 Updates With March Security Patch in India and other countries

Nokia 4.2 gets the latest Android 11 update in India. Nokia 4.2 launched in May 2019 with Android 9 Pie also received the update of Android 10 in April 2020.

According to Nokia license holder HMD Global, India and many other countries are receiving Nokia 4.2 update as part of the first wave, with the exception of 14 countries listed by the company. There were no official details on when these countries will receive the latest update for Android 11.

In a post to its public forum, HMD Global has announced that Nokia 4.2 will receive the latest version of Android 11 in India and other parts of the world.

However, it also stated that Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Israel, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, Russia, the US, and Uzbekistan will no longer receive updates. In some of the countries mentioned, the update will not be limited to certain carriers.

The build number for the update is V3.150 and it comes in bulk with the March 2021 Android security patch and is 1.5GB in size. It is advised that the smartphone should be updated while connected to a strong Wi-Fi connection and plugged in. T

he change was not provided by Nokia but was reported by a user on Twitter, first seen by Nokiapoweruser. Changelog means that Nokia 4.2 will be getting Android 11 features like chat bubbles, one-time permissions, and other security and privacy updates.
