Nikamma review: ‘Nikamma’ is a bad remake of South’s hit film, Shilpa Shetty faded away

South Movies is going on. In recent times, many such films have been made in Bollywood which are remakes of South films. Now it is not necessary that when the films which were hit there were made in Bollywood, then the audience would find it equally entertaining. The film ‘Nikamma’ is released this Friday. Top actress of the 90s Shilpa Shetty is in the lead role. Abhimanyu Dasani is with him. Singer Shirley Sethia made her Bollywood debut with this film. Directed by Sabbir Khan, the film is a remake of the 2017 Telugu film ‘Middle-Class Abbai’.South star Nani played the lead role in the film

What Is The story Of Nikamma

The story of ‘Nikamma’ begins with Adi (Abhimanyu Dassani) asking a doctor to save the patient, ‘As long as it breathes, my life will go’.While watching the film you feel that he is about to lose a loved one but in the meantime comes the never ending flashback which tells what really happened. If seen, the film could have started from scene number 2. The scene between Abhimanyu and his brother Raman (Sameer Soni) is shown which is full of drama. Then there is the entry of Avni Singh (Shilpa Shetty) who is the wife of Sameer Soni and sister-in-law of Adi.

Where are the shortcomings

Shilpa Shetty sometimes looks like a superwoman and sometimes in a dress like Goddess Durga. Why these scenes were kept, it is not understood till the end of the film. While watching the first part of ‘Nikamma’, the mind starts twitching. The film seems to have been made by manipulation. The makers have not even been able to make the remake properly. It is completely different from the original film. You need a lot of patience to watch this film of about 2 hours 30 minutes.

How Is Acting

Abhimanyu Dassani had earlier impressed everyone with his film ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ but in ‘Nikamma’ he was seen overacting everywhere. A few action scenes have become reasonable. Now if it is a Bollywood film, it will have a love story and Shirley has been roped in. Shilpa Shetty could have been the only reason to watch the film but she has disappointed. If the makers had released it on OTT instead of the cinema hall, it might have got more viewers. As per the initial trends, the shows of ‘Nikamma’ have gone empty.
