New Online Portal (MyNEP2020) launched by Education Minister To Seek Advice On New Teachers’ Programmes

Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Friday launched the MyNEP2020 portal on the part of the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) on ncte.gov.in. Government has also invited proposals / inputs / membership to stakeholders to prepare a National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST) development framework and membership for the National Mission for Mentoring (NMM) program.

Recommendations will be accepted from April 1 to May 15. Recommendations and inclusion of NPST and NMM will be considered during the formatting of the teachers’ policy for sustainable and positive change in the education sector.
The official statement reads, “This use of digital consultation aims to engage teachers, academics, academics, and other stakeholders in preparing teachers’ policy documents to bring about sustainable and positive change in the Teacher Education Sector”. It also added that the NCTE will work closely with individuals / organizations during the drafting of the above two NEP 2020 recommendations. (NCTE) site at incte.gov.in. All submissions / inputs collected during the consultation process will be reviewed in detail by the expert committee and drafts will be developed for public review. Reviewers’ comments from stakeholders will be used to develop the final draft notice.
The Minister of Education also discussed the issue on his social media platform as he wrote that the MyNEP 2020 site was launched by NCTE Delhi to prepare 21st century teachers.
What is NCTE? The NCTE is a statutory body that oversees all aspects of teacher training programs including research and training to equip them to teach in primary, secondary, secondary and tertiary schools, as well as formal education, part-time education, adult education and postgraduate studies books). Its main purpose is to achieve the systematic and systematic development of a teacher education system across the country.
