The new Infosys e-filing site is now available ahead of an important meeting with the Department of Finance that summoned CEO Salil Parekh on August 23.

The Treasury Department called Infosys on August 23 as the new IT site continues to see issues or 2.5 months after the launch. The site has not been accessible since August 21st.

In a tweet, the IT department said, "The Treasury has summoned Salil Parekh, MD & CEO @Infosys on 23/08/2021 to explain to FM why even 2.5 months after the launch of the new Filing, glitches on the portal have not been resolved. In fact, as of 21/08/2021 the site itself is not available. "
This is the second time the company has met with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman about current issues in the IT sector.

The new income tax site went into effect on June 7 and began to appear the next day. It was marked by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who met with Infosys management on June 22.

Infosys was awarded a contract in 2019 following a bidding process for the release of Rs 4,242. The project aims to improve the next generation tax collection system to reduce processing time from 63 days to one day and speed up refunds.

During the meeting with FM, Infosys management shared that the company had added hardware to the Hardware project and the application side and that some of the issues had already been identified and addressed.

Infosys works to deal with all issues related to the new income tax portal. Many operational issues have been resolved and almost 10 lakh tax returns have been filed so far, company COO UB Pravin Rao said on July 14.
